Happy First Birthday Jack!

We are very grateful for you and can't believe we have been so lucky to have you in our lives. To celebrate your birthday we have three wishes for you.

Our first wish for you is that you will always explore and learn. You will have the desire to try new things and enjoy figuring out how things work. Your desire to learn and explore will be intrinsically satisfied and not dependent on external rewards.

Our second wish for you is that you will always choose joy and act in kindness. We want you to know that you treat others the way you want to be treated. Happiness is a choice that only you can make for yourself. We cannot give you happiness or take your happiness away. We always want you to know how happy we are to be your parents.

Our third wish for you is to know you are always loved. There is not a day that goes by that we don't look at each other in awe of the amount of love we have for you. You amaze us. We love you more each day and are so grateful for each day we get to spend with you.

The birthday boy is coming!

I can't believe it has been almost a year. I hope you have all enjoyed this little man we call Jack, Monkey and Bug as much as we did. I am grateful to have shared his first year with all of you.
