Two Month Check Up

So we went to Jack's pediatrician yesterday. He is doing very well. 

Current Stats:

14 pounds 11 ounces (95% in weight)

Head Circumference 85%

Length 23 inches (45% in height)

Go little man! We are so happy you are part of our family!

Sebastian's Third Birthday

Hey all, 

We made it back from Sebastian's birthday late last night. He had such a fun day seeing airplanes at the airport, a special celebration at school, eating pizza for dinner and opening presents! I can't believe he is already three years old! 

Jack has once again shown that he is keeping up with Aria in size. She weighed in at 14 pounds 1 ounce last week at her 4 month check up, tomorrow we go in for his 2 month check up and we guess he is well over 14 pounds. We will see!

Hello Again, 

Here are some recent photos. Aunt Maria and Uncle Dana came over for dessert. We were tempted to get another chocolate banana cream pie, but decided against it for now.  

What was that show, "My three boys"? or was it "My three sons"? This was the scene from our bedroom after a long night.  

We went to the annual Child Life staff holiday party last night. It was a LOT of fun, but Jack was not so sure of it all. It was so noisy that Bryan took him into the back room and closed the door and held him for most of it. Every time the kids would run down the hall screaming in fun, he would scream in fright. He is a sensitive little man who is easily over stimulated. We ended up being the party poopers leaving first to get our boy home to bed. Once we got home we took our chances and let him sleep in his own room for the first time. Jack slept really well, Bryan and I both hard a hard time but we are learning! Jack woke up once between 10pm and 5:45am.

2 Months Old

We have been a bit crazy in our house lately. I'm not sure if it is Jack, the house or me (probably the later). Bryan has been working hard to see if we can refinance our home since the interest rates dropped so dramatically. We would never imagine refinancing 6 months after buying our home, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will work out. Hopefully by the end of next month we will be in a better place. 

Jack is now officially 2 months old. He is a sensitive, adorable, flirty little man. He looks at you with the same expressions that Bryan exhibits most of the day. He is enjoying going for walks and sleeping most of his day. He is refusing to take a bottle right now and that is a big stress for Bryan and I. We are trying different types, different positions, different times of the day and he seems to have figured out that we are up to something. With me going back to work in a month and Bryan seeing the increasing effects of sleep deprivation on his wife (or what looks like it used to be his wife but a bit more irritable, sensitive and crabby) we both think it is in the little man's best interest to get on board with our attempts. 

This weekend we are heading to Santa Rosa to visit Sebastian for his third birthday. I can't believe he is turning three!

Catching Up: Christmas came and went

I really wanted to start a blog, I am still trying to figure it out. 

We had a nice Christmas day and busy Christmas night. Jack was a little overwhelmed with all the days events that he seemed to not want to sleep that night. We are still learning, and realizing that Jack likes his space and quiet uneventful days. He is learning to be a recluse like his mom. Here are a couple photos from our Christmas Elf...
